The brief
Wendy needed a full production video for the EU Youth Start-Up Challenge, alongside photography and social content for BizTeach. The project brought the founder’s story and the personality behind the business into one shoot.
What I did
I created the main production video, four TikToks, headshots and location photographs of Wendy outside Ulster University’s Magee campus in Derry. I also captured behind-the-scenes photography and video during the shoot.
How the shoot came together
The main film followed the Youth Start-Up Challenge brief: an introduction, the problem, the solution and a closing, within a short vertical video. Alongside that central story, I worked with Wendy on four separate TikToks. The photographs outside Magee added a recognisable location and a different setting for her portraits.
The moments between takes
Behind-the-scenes coverage was part of the same production day. Capturing both photographs and video between takes gave the project another side: the conversations, personality and lighter moments that sit alongside a finished film.
